Responsibilities
* Lead the development and implementation of welding procedures and specifications.
* Conduct inspections and assessments to ensure compliance with industry standards.
* Collaborate with engineering teams to optimize welding processes for efficiency and quality.
* Provide technical support and guidance to welding personnel during project execution.
* Analyse and troubleshoot welding-related issues to ensure timely resolution.
* Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices in welding.
* Prepare and present technical reports and documentation related to welding operations.
* Bachelor's degree in Welding Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
* Minimum of 7 years of experience in welding engineering within the Oil & Energy sector.
* Expertise in welding techniques, codes, and standards.
* Strong knowledge of metallurgy and materials science as applied to welding.
* Proficient in the use of welding simulation and analysis software.
* Excellent communication and leadership skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
* Ability to develop and mentor junior engineering staff in welding practices.
