Evening Care Assistant – High Littleton Location: High Littleton Hours: 3pm – 9pm, Monday to Friday (weekend work also available) Salary: £15 per hour We are currently recruiting for an Evening Care Assistant to support a client in their own home with complex physical and communication needs. About the Role: As an Evening Care Assistant, you will provide tailored, person-centred care to a client with a unique and complex profile. Your support will help promote comfort, communication, and independence during the later hours of the day. Support Areas Include: Communication support – Assisting the client in using a Communication Aid and interpreting facial expressions, vocalisations, and eye pointing. PEG monitoring – Observing and reporting any concerns with the feeding site or equipment (no medication administration required). Seizure monitoring – Being observant for signs of seizures and responding appropriately. Mobility assistance – Supporting a full-time wheelchair user with repositioning and general comfort. Supporting with physical needs – Understanding and working with conditions such as a movement disorder, left leg amputation, and neuromuscular scoliosis. Hearing awareness – Adjusting communication methods to accommodate moderate hearing loss. About You: Previous experience in a care role, particularly with PEG feeding and epilepsy, is highly desirable. Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for delivering high-quality care.
