About the position:
This position is based in East Kootenay Regional Hospital (EKRH), where you’ll be joining a dynamic and rewarding rehabilitation team consisting of RA's, SLP's, OT's and PT's who work at a 100 bed regional referral centre for the East Kootenays. There is opportunity to work with many different people who have varying medical, neurological, or surgical needs and you can have a great and positive impact on their future abilities.
As a Rehabilitation Assistant, you are an essential member of a client centered, multidisciplinary rehabilitation team, working under the clinical direction of therapists. In this role, you operate at the top of your scope to deliver consistent therapeutic interventions, carry out rehabilitative treatment plans and programs, and assist clinicians in monitoring and evaluating patient progression. Acting as the eyes and ears of the rehab team, you provide valuable observations and contribute meaningfully to each patient’s rehabilitation journey—driving progress, supporting individualized goals, and ensuring comprehensive, high-quality care.
