Join us as a Mobile Maintenance Engineer at EMR, contributing to our goal of becoming a net-zero carbon sustainable materials provider by 2040. You will play a vital role in maintaining plant efficiency across six sites in Yorkshire & Lincolnshire, with Sheffield as your home base.
What you will be doing:
Our maintenance team is crucial to our operations. You will perform reactive and planned maintenance on heavy machinery, supporting continuous plant operation. Experience in a heavy industrial environment is beneficial. Your duties include:
• Mechanical maintenance and repairs
• Safe operation of machinery after training
• Reporting malfunctions and supporting safety protocols
• Collaborating with production teams for improvements
• Conducting risk assessments and addressing defects
About you:
• Time-served Mechanical Fitter/Engineer
• Proven hydraulics experience
• Manufacturing or processing industry background
• Strong problem-solving skills and familiarity with PPM systems
• Knowledge of risk assessments and team briefings
• Level 3 apprenticeship or equivalent
• Welding, fabrication, and electrical experience are advantageous
