Reed/LTAare seeking a dedicated SEN Support Assistant to join aprimary school in South Ribble. This part-time role involves providing support to children in Year 3 with special educational needs (SEN). You will work with two children in the classroom during the mornings and provide one-on-one support to a child in the afternoons. The role will start from the 6th of October until christmas with the potential for extension.
A DBS on the update service is required and a level 2 teaching assistant qualification.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide tailored support to two children in the classroom during morning sessions.
* Offer one-on-one assistance to a child with SEN in the afternoon.
* Collaborate with teachers to implement individualised education plans (IEPs).
* Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
* Monitor and report on the progress and development of the children.
Requirements:
* Experience working with children with special educational needs (SEN).
* Strong understanding of SEN strategies and interventions.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
* Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
