A wonderful opportunity has arisen for an experienced midwife to come and join our Education Team, as a Practice Development Midwife. We are looking for an enthusiastic, compassionate and motivated individual who is dedicated to providing high standards of care for women and their families birthing in our Maternity Unit.
The Main purpose of the job is to deliver high quality clinical skills training to Midwives and the multidisciplinary team in the delivery of core competency framework / mandatory training, maintaining, and submitting evidence of staff training compliance records as required. The post holder will work in liaison with the Midwifery Clinical Educator to coordinate, plan the schedule and content of the Programme and then lead in the delivery and assessment of learning within the specialty. This role includes being visible in clinical areas, providing face to face support to staff on wards for 50% of working week. Alongside promoting culturally safe, trauma-informed, and anti-discriminatory practices in all aspects of education and care.

Qualifications
* Educated to Registrant with nursing and Midwifery Council
* Educated to Degree Level.
* Evidence of continued professional development
* Teaching /Mentorship Course
* Evidence of continuing professional development
* Leadership Course/Development Programme
* Working at master's degree level or undertaking a master's course
* Teaching qualifications
Experience
* Experience of working in acute maternity hospital at Band 6 Level or experience at Band 7 level.
* NLS / PROMPT/Also trainer
* Experience or evidence of involvement in change management and service improvement
* Experience of collaborating with a multi-professional team
* Experience of reflective practice
* Ability to present and teach in classroom setting.
* Experience with teaching in the clinical setting.
* Comprehensive knowledge of national and local education / training requirements for MDT within the PDM remit of practice
