About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for an Operations Manager to join our team in Minworth/Birmingham. The Operations Manager will plan, direct and oversees DP World’s operational policies, rules and goals.
How you will contribute
1. Monitoring and adhering to site Health & Safety including equipment and use whilst meeting company objectives with respect to safety, quality, delivery, cost, morale and environment.
2. Provide leadership and management direction for all local line and staff personnel consistent with the Strategic Business objectives of DP World.
3. Advises and trains first line managers and staff of company policy regarding team supervision, customer interface and interacting with staff representatives where necessary.
4. Support the analysis, maintenance, and communication of records required by law and local governing bodies.
5. Actively support all lean initiatives, such as 5S, standardised work, people involvement.
6. Developing and improving operational processes
7. Effective communication, understanding and response to all our customers and suppliers
8. Internal/external stakeholder management
9. Compiling data using spreadsheets and production and delivery of presentations
10. Progress tracking & report compiling
11. Effective delegation of tasks to the team, setting SMART objectives and goals
12. Ensuring order and cleanliness in areas of responsibility
13. Undertake Disciplinary and Grievance processes including investigations and Grievance and Disciplinary Hearings.
14. KPI adherence & continuous improvement
15. Quality and Control checks
What you will bring
16. Five or more years of experience in leadership roles
17. Excellent leadership skills, with steadfast resolve and personal integrity
18. Understanding of advanced business planning
19. Solid grasp of data analysis and performance metrics
20. Ability to diagnose problems quickly and foresee potential issues
