Project Engineer (Mechanical) – West Yorkshire – £50k–£60k + Package
We’re seeking a skilled Mechanical Project Engineer to join our Water North team. You’ll coordinate all mechanical engineering aspects of water infrastructure projects, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
What you’ll be doing:

Coordinate all mechanical engineering functions pre & post contract
*
Ensure compliance with company HSE systems & processes
*
Vet procurement packages and oversee sub-contract layouts
*
Liaise with other disciplines for full integration of works
*
Support Project QS with commercial matters
*
Manage labour and direct material activities
*
Conduct productivity audits with Site Agents/Foremen
*
Keep accurate labour and material records
*
Assist with installation matters on site
*
Carry out factory inspections and quality audits
*
Work with design & supply chain on modularisation and offsite assembly
*
Monitor programme progress and budgets closely
*
Represent the company internally & externally
*
Contribute to a positive, collaborative team culture
What we need from you:
*
CSCS card & SMSTS (SSSTS minimum)
*
Diploma/Degree qualified in Mechanical or related discipline
*
5+ years’ experience in a similar role
*
Technical knowledge of water & wastewater operations
*
Strong organisational, problem-solving & commercial skills
*
Understanding of MMC, Lean & Agile approaches
*
First Aid at Work & strong IT literacy
*
Excellent communication skills, adaptable to different audiences
