Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Nurse to join our dental practice. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting dentists during patient treatments, ensuring high standards of patient care, and maintaining a smooth clinical environment. Responsibilities
* Assist dentists during examinations and various dental procedures, including preparing instruments and materials.
* Provide excellent patient care by offering reassurance, explaining procedures, and ensuring patient comfort throughout their visit.
* Manage patient records accurately using IT systems, including updating personal details and treatment notes.
* Maintain the cleanliness and organisation of the clinical environment, sterilising instruments and ensuring all equipment is functioning correctly.
* Support with administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing stock levels of dental supplies, and handling patient enquiries.
* Adhere to infection control protocols and health & safety standards at all times to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
* Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions.
Experience
* Previous experience in a dental or healthcare.
* Knowledge of patient care principles within a clinical environment.
* Proficiency in English, with excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members.
* Basic IT skills for managing electronic health records and appointment scheduling.
* Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently within a busy practice.
* Good interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients and work collaboratively with colleagues.
