A Vacancy at University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our hard working and friendly cancer Pharmacy Team. The post-holders will support the Pharmacy Cancer Team with the provision of chemotherapy and supplementary medicines to patients.
Contract Details
This is a 14-month fixed-term contract. The post-holder will work cross-site between Royal Derby Hospital (RDH) and Queens Hospital, Burton (QHB). Duties will be rotational between both the chemotherapy dispensary and aseptic services.
Responsibilities
* Dispensing of cytotoxic drugs and supportive medicines including clinical trial medication.
* Provision of aseptically dispensed items, including assembly of ingredients and consumables, sanitation of equipment and materials, and the processing of products.
* Participate in the cleaning schedule of clean rooms, support areas and equipment following defined standard operating procedures.
* Undertake required assessment, validations and broth test as per departmental policy.
* Work evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
Qualifications & Training
* Successful candidates will be required to undertake a Level 2 GPHC recognised qualification applicable to the job role.
