Global Data Center Security Systems Program Manager (Retro-Fit)
Join Oracle’s Global Physical Security (GPS) System Team as a highly experienced and multi-talented member. This role will develop and lead the Project Management Team focused on delivering Global Security Systems implementations to Oracle Data Center facilities, with a primary emphasis on the Retro‑Fit program.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and manage the Global Data Center Project Management Team, including sourcing appropriate contracted staff.
* Provide mentoring, development, and guidance to staff, enhancing skills through developmental training programs.
* Work closely with the Data Centre Build, GPS Security Operations and GPS Security Systems teams to identify Security System needs.
* Co‑develop security designs, producing marked‑up design drawings and budgetary financial figures in cooperation with the Data Center Build and Security Operational teams.
* Complete VAR selection processes to award project works by way of contract or RFP response.
* Control project costs, review quotations, raise PO's, and approve all expenditure; ensure contractual compliance.
* Develop and oversee project plans, designs and processes deployed by the Global Project Managers, ensuring high quality and on‑budget delivery.
* Maintain project schedules by monitoring progress; coordinate team activities and resolve issues.
* Ensure all stakeholders are kept informed of milestones and major project developments, enabling timely installation of systems and transition into the GSOC / Local Alarm Centers.
* Manage System Integrators / VARs, ensuring GPS standards and procedures are followed and key milestones are met on schedule.
* Play an active role in the overall management of all providers, participating in all QBR / ABR programs.
* Perform additional functions as directed by the Director of Global Data Center Security Systems to achieve assigned business objectives.
Requirements
* Minimum of 10 years of project management experience, with at least 5 years focused on Data Center Security Systems deployment.
* Proven background in delivering Data Center physical security projects.
* Self‑motivated, requiring little or no direct supervision, and possessing strong leadership and mentoring skills.
* Strong background in design of Lenel Access Control & Milestone CCTV systems; additional access control, CCTV and other security systems experience is desirable.
* Extensive travel to Data Centers across the Oracle global portfolio, attending project planning, coordination and implementation meetings supporting Data Center Project Managers, GPS Operational Team, Architects, General Contractors and appointed VARs.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills suitable for all levels, including Corporate Executive leadership.
* Highly proficient with all basic Microsoft computer software programs and communication techniques.
Education & Experience
* BS/BA Degree desirable but not mandatory.
* Professional Project Management certifications highly desirable.
* Physically located in UK, EMEA.
* Must demonstrate experience in the essential functions listed above.
* Additional industry certifications desirable but not required.
Scope of Responsibility
* The role’s scope of responsibility will be global in nature.
* Qualified candidate will report directly to the Director, Global Data Center Security Systems based in the UK.
* Manages a global team of FTEs and embedded staff, carrying a high degree of responsibility and operational impact on the business function.
* Expect up to 40% global travel.
