Senior Mechanic
Location: London
Salary: £28,800 - £30,000 per annum
Vacancy Type: Permanent, Full Time, 40 hours per week

The company is a community bike shop operated by our client and offer an excellent service to central Londons cycling community by selling high quality pre-loved bikes and servicing bikes.
They encourage more Westminster residents to choose cycling by donating bikes, supporting organisations who lead rides & deliver confidence training, and helping people maintain their own bikes. They nurture new talent for Londons cycle retail sector by offering training and waged work experience.
The Role
You will help them achieve these aims by:
Dealing with customers bike repair requests with empathy, using plain language and offering options to suit their budget.
Selecting, checking and repairing received bikes for resale and donation
Supporting the delivery of remote activities, such as Dr Bike sessions and offsite maintenance of customers bikes and E bikes
Making day-to-day practical decisions on how to refurbish and repair bicycles
Support customers
Share shop cleaning duties

Skills and Qualifications
An industry recognised qualification in bicycle maintenance at Level 2
Practical experience of working in a busy bike shop
Good interpersonal skills to meet the needs of customers and trainees alike
Excellent attention to detail, and the ability to understand and follow bicycle maintenance tasks to agreed standards
The ability to succeed in a target driven team to achieve contract outputs
Manage your own outputs and contribute to the success of the wider team
