My client is one of the UK's leading driven piling and ground engineering contractors. They are known for delivering safe, sustainable, and cost-effective solutions across a wide range of sectors. As part of their continued growth, they are looking to recruit an Estimator to join their Driven Piling team.
The Role
As an Estimator, you will play a vital role in preparing and submitting competitive, technically sound tenders for driven piling projects. You will ensure all submissions meet both company and client expectations, maintaining high standards of quality, compliance, and commercial awareness. Working closely with internal teams and external clients, you will help secure contracts that contribute to the company's continued success.
Key Responsibilities
Tender Management
·Manage piling enquiries using internal documentation systems.
·Prepare accurate estimates and tender submissions in line with project requirements.
·Conduct technical appraisals and calculations to ensure proposal suitability.
·Maintain consistency and quality across all submissions.
Client Engagement
·Build and maintain strong relationships with clients during the tender process.
·Attend post-offer and negotiation meetings.
·Represent the company professionally to clients and stakeholders.
Commercial & Risk Analysis
·Assess risk profiles and commercial implications of each tender.
·Work with the Commercial team to ensure profitability and mitigate risk.
·Maximise value through collaboration with internal teams.
Project Handover & Support
·Deliver comprehensive project handover information to the operations team.
·Assist in developing and improving offer templates and documentation.
·Support operational teams to ensure technical and contractual compliance.
Compliance & Development
·Ensure compliance with Quality, Health & Safety, and Environmental standards.
·Contribute to the ongoing development of departmental procedures.
·Maintain awareness of, and adherence to, all company policies and systems.
About You

Qualifications & Experience
·HNC or Degree in Construction, Civil Engineering, or a related field
·Working towards professional membership (e.g., RICS, CIOB, ICE, IMechE)
·Proven experience in pricing, cost planning, and estimating procedures
·Strong background in managing tenders from initial enquiry through to award
·Ability to lead complex and multi-trade tenders through to settlement
·Experience across a range of sectors and project types is desirable
