Job Description
Oak Tree Dental & Implant Centre is expanding, and we’re looking for a motivated, patient-focused Dental Hygienist to join our growing team on Fridays and Saturdays.
Due to increased patient demand, continued practice growth, and extended opening hours, this is an excellent opportunity for a hygienist seeking additional days in a well-established, supportive, and modern private practice.

The Role
* Fridays: 14:15 – 17:00
* 4 modern, well‑equipped surgeries
* Fully private practice
* Full support from an experienced and friendly team
You must be a GDC-registered Dental Hygienist.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver comprehensive dental hygiene treatments, including scaling, root planing, and polishing
* Assess patients’ oral health and identify signs of periodontal disease
* Provide preventative treatments such as fluoride applications
* Educate patients on effective oral hygiene practices and lifestyle choices
* Take and process dental radiographs in line with current guidelines
* Maintain high standards of infection control and sterilisation
* Work collaboratively with dentists and the wider team to ensure excellent patient care
* Support anxious patients with empathy and clear communication
* Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using digital systems
* Stay up to date with professional knowledge through ongoing CPD
* Diploma or Degree in Dental Hygiene
* Current registration with the General Dental Council (GDC)
* Enhanced DBS clearance
* Proven experience working as a Dental Hygienist in a clinical setting
* Strong clinical, organisational, and communication skills
* Confident using electronic patient records and practice management systems
* Commitment to ongoing professional development
* Experience in periodontal disease management
* Interest in oral health promotion and patient education
* Experience working within a multidisciplinary team
* Familiarity with modern dental technology and digital radiography
