Job Title: Qualified SENCO
Location: Sheffield (S9)
Salary: Up to £220 per day
Contract Type: Part-time (3 days per week), Long-term
Start Date: Immediately

A secondary school in Sheffield (S9) is seeking a Qualified SENCO to join their team on a part-time basis. This is a non-classroom-based role, focused on coordination, strategy and oversight of SEND provision across the school.

This secondary school is committed to providing inclusive education and ensuring all students with additional needs receive appropriate support. The school maintains a structured and supportive environment, with a strong focus on safeguarding, consistency and student wellbeing through a trauma-informed approach.

About the Role:
As SENCO, you will oversee SEND provision across the school, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and supporting staff to meet the needs of students with additional learning needs. This is a leadership-focused role with no direct classroom teaching responsibility.

Responsibilities:

* Coordinate SEND provision across the secondary school
* Oversee EHCP processes and statutory documentation
* Liaise with external agencies and support services
* Support and advise teaching staff on inclusive strategies
* Monitor progress and outcomes for students with SEND
* Ensure compliance with SEND Code of Practice requirements
* Contribute to safeguarding and student wellbeing processes
* Develop and implement effective inclusion strategies

Requirements:

* Qualified SENCO status (NASENCO or equivalent desirable)
* Experience working within a secondary school SEND setting
* Strong understanding of SEND Code of Practice
* Excellent organisational and leadership skills
* Ability to work collaboratively with staff, families and external agencies
* Strong communication and report-writing skills

This is an excellent opportunity for a Qualified SENCO in Sheffield (S9) to take on a strategic role within a supportive secondary school environment.
