About the role
The role of The Team Leader is to support and work alongside the Registered Manager of the Residential Children's Home in efficiently managing the home, overseeing the development of staff and the young people in placement, formulating, and updating placement plans, risk assessments and positive behaviour management plan.

About you
We are looking for a compassionate individual who demonstrates patience and resilience, with the capacity to connect with children and young people. Someone who is able to find and use creative ways to communicate with young people; quick to learn and willing to work flexibly and innovatively to meet the changing and challenging needs of the young people. A team manager who is able to form trusted relationships with young people by supporting them with their social and emotional development and educational achievement.
This role will suit someone who has a passion for ensuring young people have safe, nurturing home environment and they have access to services to support their mental and emotional wellbeing, along with a willingness to embrace, support and sustain the offer of short to medium individual and group therapeutic and wellbeing interventions. You will set boundaries and bring consistency to young people's lives as any good parent or role model would.
You will support the Registered Manager in the delivery of high-quality care package that incorporates care, welfare, safety and security of all children and young people in the home and promoting the home's ethos. Also, this role is to support the staff team in managing the day-to-day tasks of the home, staff supervision, working on shift as the lead person, sleep in duties as on rota, modelling best practice/ developing the team as well as liaising with multi-agency partners
