Senior Risk Consultant – Health and Safety

The role offers a flexible hybrid working arrangement, combining time working from home, our offices, and client sites. The Health and Safety risk consultant in the Workforce Strategies Team provides customized health and safety solutions to a diverse range of clients across sizes and industries. You will work as part of a team to deliver these solutions effectively.
Responsibilities
* Critical to supporting the growth of the Operational Risk Consulting (ORC) team as you work in a client-facing role. You will add value to the service Marsh provides its clients which, through a collaborative service model, delivers an end-to-end proposition to enable clients to meet their aspirational goals in risk management while mitigating loss exposures.
* Help clients and prospects take a proactive approach to managing risk by reducing reliance on insurance through preventing and mitigating losses internally to reduce the Total Cost of Risk to their business.
* Win new business, retain existing clients and expand the services Marsh delivers to its clients by providing solutions to health and safety (H&S) challenges while optimising insurance placement through a connected service proposition.
* Partner with key client stakeholders to deliver H&S-related solutions that benefit them and support their internal risk management goals.
* The role requires National and International Travel.
What you need to have
* Minimum of a NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent and working towards diploma level
* Be a great communicator at all levels and be confident while sympathetic to client’s needs
* Excellent team player and able to work well both on your own and as part of a delivery team
* Experience in an operational role with H&S responsibilities and management systems
* Experience of conducting audits/surveys with an ability to write and deliver high quality presentations
* Full UK driving license with an appetite for travel and overnight stays

* Experience in H&S and Risk Management / Consultancy / Operations
* Previous experience as a H&S Consultant/Fire Risk Assessor
* Use of technology platforms to deliver solutions
* IOSH Member working towards Chartered status with desire to develop professionally
* Fleet risk management
* Experience in conducting fire risk assessments and accreditation with a fire institution such as IFSM/IFE
* Familiarity with the insurance industry focusing on the claims process and how Health and Safety can influence decisions in insurance placement
