At Somers Square Dental we are looking for a qualified or Trainee Dental Nurse to join our busy, mixed NHS and private dental practice in the town of Halesowen.
We would like a hard working, reliable and enthusiastic dental nurse to join our expanding team at Somers Square Dental. The individual will work full time Monday to Friday and 1 Saturday morning 9am-12pm per month) alongside our experienced team of Dentists, Dental nurses, Orthodontist and Receptionists.
In house training will be provided for trainee nurses by our senior dental nurses and one evening will be spent at college where you will achieve a Level 3 qualification that has been approved by the General Dental Council (GDC). Before taking your end-point assessment, you must achieve level 2 English and Maths (equivalent to GCSEs at grades A* to C).
Applicants that are already enrolled on a Dental Nursing course may also apply.

Duties of a Dental Nurse include:
* Welcoming patients into the practice and making them feel at ease
* Assisting the dentist to deliver excellent dental treatment
* Ensuring a high standard of patient care and customer service
* Demonstrate a high standard of infection control and ensure to follow cross-infection policies and procedures at all times
* Preparing the surgery for treatments
* Reception duties when required (answering the telephone and emails, booking appointments, filing. upkeep of patient records etc
* Maintain confidentiality at all times

You will be required to be immunised against Hepatitis B and to pass a DBS (criminal record) check.
Once qualified you will need to register with the GDC.
