About the Role
Teaching Personnel is seeking a reliable and confident Cover Supervisor to work within a secondary school in Bexhill. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with young people and are looking to gain valuable experience within a school environment.
As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising whole classes during the short-term absence of the class teacher. You will ensure students remain on task with the work set by teaching staff while maintaining a positive and safe learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise classes across a range of subjects in the absence of the regular teacher
Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials and ensure students stay engaged with their work
Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
Provide support to students where necessary while maintaining appropriate boundaries
Report any issues or feedback from lessons to teaching staff and senior leadership
Ensure a safe and respectful learning environment for all students
Requirements
Experience working with young people (in schools, tutoring, coaching, youth work, or similar) is desirable
Strong classroom management and communication skills
Confidence leading a classroom of secondary-aged students (11–16)
A proactive, flexible, and professional attitude
Eligibility to work in the UK
An enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one through Teaching Personnel

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
