Job Description
3. Lead the preparation of statutory financial statements for group entities and the consolidated accounts, ensuring compliance with FRS 102.
4. Manage the month-end process for the balance sheet, including reconciliations, intercompany balances, and group consolidations.
5. Own the external audit process, acting as the main point of contact and coordinating audit deliverables.
6. Strengthen and maintain financial controls across the group, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
7. Support acquisitions, integrations, and finance projects, including system improvements.
8. Liaise with tax advisors and support corporation tax and VAT compliance activities.
9. Provide technical accounting expertise across the business, supporting and upskilling junior team members.
10. Partner with wider finance teams to improve reporting accuracy and provide insight.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Financial Accountant should have:
11. ACA or ACCA qualified
12. Strong technical accounting knowledge, including experience with group consolidations and FRS 102
13. Background in audit or practice, with a solid grounding in statutory reporting
14. Experience managing or supporting external audit processes
15. High attention to detail with the ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment
16. A proactive, hands-on approach with the confidence to take ownership
17. Strong communication skills, able to engage effectively with senior stakeholders and support junior team members
18. The ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
