Early Years Teaching Assistant – Tredegar (NP22 Area) Location: Tredegar and surrounding NP22 areas Contract Type: Full-time / Part-time / Flexible opportunities Pay: Weekly pay (competitive rates) Teaching Personnel are working closely with a range of Early Years settings and primary schools in the Tredegar (NP22) area, who are looking to recruit confident, proactive and reliable Early Years Teaching Assistants. This role is ideal for individuals with experience in Nursery, Reception, or private nursery environments, who are passionate about supporting early development and can bring energy and initiative into the classroom. About the Role • Support children across Nursery and Reception • Assist with play-based learning and EYFS activities • Promote social, emotional and communication development • Work 1:1 and with small groups, including ALN/SEN pupils • Support daily routines (snack time, toileting, transitions) • Assist with outdoor learning and free-flow play • Help maintain a safe, engaging environment • Work collaboratively with staff and parents What We’re Looking For Essential: • Experience in Early Years or nursery settings • Good understanding of EYFS and child development • Ability to support early language and literacy • Confidence supporting children with ALN/SEN • Knowledge of safeguarding, health & safety and hygiene • Experience with personal care • Strong teamwork and communication skills • Proactive and hands-on approach Desirable: • Relevant qualifications (CACHE Level 2/3, NVQ, Childcare diploma) • Speech and language support experience • Driving licence and access to a vehicle The Ideal Candidate • Caring, enthusiastic and child-centred • Confident, calm and able to lead activities • Reliable, organised and adaptable • Holds an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply) What We Offer • Weekly pay • Free CPD (EYFS, Safeguarding, ALN) • Ongoing support from a dedicated consultant • Long-term roles with progression opportunities If you’re passionate about Early Years education and want to make a real impact, we’d love to hear from you.
