DCS Engineer Maintain and improve critical DCS and PLC systems Wolviston Management Services is proud to be working in partnership with Tioxide to recruit a DCS Engineer for their Greatham site. This is a specialist control systems role where you will carry out routine maintenance and continuous improvement activity across the site’s DCS and PLC systems. You will also implement changes linked to capital projects and technical improvement programmes, helping maintain safe, reliable and compliant operations. You will work across MOD300, DeltaV, Siemens PLCs, Texas Instrument PLCs and PI Vision, supporting system maintenance, performance monitoring, change control, cyber security and control system availability. What you’ll be doing You will: * Maintain DCS and PLC systems in line with corporate, cyber security, EHS and site standards. * Complete routine system maintenance, including backups, hardware monitoring, file housekeeping and user interface equipment renewals. * Carry out DCS code changes and support control system improvements. * Analyse DCS performance data, investigate anomalies and monitor system availability. * Monitor control system security and prepare control system KPIs and routine reports. * Develop or modify control sequences, alarms and reports to user specifications. * Robustly test changes before they go live. * Test system upgrades to ensure compatibility with existing systems. * Coordinate the control system management of change process. * Support implementation of the control system improvement plan. * Provide breakdown support to control system users, including out-of-hours support when required. * Promote a positive, values-led culture focused on safety, reliability and high standards. Candidate requirements We welcome applications from people who have: * A degree, or equivalent knowledge, in engineering, advanced process control or a related discipline. * Strong experience in a control system environment, ideally within a 24/7 chemical, process or manufacturing operation. * Experience with DCS and PLC process automation. * Knowledge of firewalls, network management or software programming languages. * Experience with MOD300, DeltaV, Siemens PLCs, Texas Instrument PLCs or PI Vision would be beneficial. * The ability to analyse system performance and investigate anomalies. * A strong focus on cyber security, compliance and safe system operation. * The ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams. * A commitment to safe working, inclusion, continuous improvement and values-led behaviours.
