Job Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor
Location: Southampton - Office-based, with occasional site visits
Salary: £60,000 - £65,000 per annum + Company Car
Full-time, Permanent
We are partnering with a reputable and growing civil engineering contractor to recruit a Senior Quantity Surveyor. This is an exciting opportunity to join a business experiencing sustained growth, with a strong pipeline of civils projects and increasing work with Tier 1 clients.
As part of a strategic restructure within the commercial team, this role will play a key part in enhancing operational efficiency and supporting junior team members, while working closely with the company's senior leadership.
Key Responsibilities
·Take commercial lead on a portfolio of civil engineering projects
·Provide line management and mentoring to team members within the commercial function
·Build and maintain strong working relationships with Tier 1 clients
·Manage NEC contracts, BOQs, valuations, variations, and change control
·Collaborate directly with the company's Directors on commercial planning and strategy
Candidate Requirements
·Proven experience in a Senior Quantity Surveyor role within the civil engineering sector
·Strong working knowledge of NEC contracts is essential
·Confident communicator with experience engaging directly with clients and key stakeholders
·Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline (or equivalent practical experience)
·Comfortable working full-time from the office, with occasional travel to project sites

·Salary: £60,000-£65,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
