A day in the life of a Clinical Deputy Manager
As Clinical Deputy Manager you will be responsible for leading the care team to ensure that the care delivered to our residents is safe, supportive and person-centred. You will ensure that these needs are regularly reviewed to meet current requirements, and ensure the general standards of hygiene, cleanliness and equipment are maintained for safety and wellbeing. You will support the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of the home, and may assume full capacity in their absence. Clinical competencies include PEG feeds, tracheostomy, urinary catheter, blood sugar monitoring, EOL (syringe driver), and wound care.
Typical responsibilities
* Induction of new team members and supervision/support for existing team members
* Complete care audits to ensure good practice and trigger reviews; develop person-centred care plans focused on dignity and individuality
* Liaise with family members, care professionals, social workers and residents to ensure holistic and transparent care provision
* Monitor, report and investigate safeguarding risks or harm; implement mitigation where possible
* Ensure administrative records (daily care notes, medication charts, meeting notes) are up to date
* Contribute to development and implementation of clinical policies and procedures
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary team including doctors, nurses, and allied health professionals

What is required from you?
* A minimum of 12 months on your right to work in the UK
* Prior experience leading a team of care assistants and Registered Nurses
* Registered nurse experience and an active NMC pin
* QCF level 3 diploma or above in Health and Social Care
* Good knowledge of the CQC key lines of enquiry and other regulatory frameworks
* Must be available to work 42 hours including alternate weekends
