Learning Support Assistant - Gosport. Academics are recruiting Learning Support and Teaching Assistants with good behavioural management skills in Gosport to fulfil daily supply, short term and long term full-time contracts.
The role of a Learning Support Assistant involves enabling young people to develop and make progress by providing physical, emotional and nurturing support during the school day as well as supporting the teacher in the classroom. You will ideally be available Monday to Friday between 8.30am - 3.30pm. Full-time is often preferred by client schools to ensure consistency in the classroom. You must have good communication skills to build relationships with both students and staff. The position involves working as part of a team to maintain a stable, happy and caring environment that prioritises health, safety, care and welfare of young people. You will be expected to support the classroom and students as a whole, as well as aid the teacher when necessary. In some cases you may work on a 1:1 basis with lower level learners or students with challenging behaviours.

Qualifications & Skills
* Be a strong team player, confident, motivated and well organised.
* Patience and commitment are essential, with a genuine desire to help others.
* Experience in a classroom or educational setting is advantageous, but applicants with other experience will be considered.
