A global Japanese trading company is seeking an experienced Compensation and Benefits Analyst to join its London office.
Reporting to the C&B Lead, you would be responsible for providing full remit of compensation and benefits advice, and co-ordination for its subsidiaries, including related taxation, National Insurance issues, year-end procedures, salary budget, department budget, bonus calculation, and pension management to ensure seamless operations.
The ideal candidate should have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, proficiency in payroll systems, and excellent communication abilities, with a background in managing monthly payrolls.
TYPE: Permanent, full-time
WORKING HOURS: 9:00-17:00, Monday to Friday
START: Applications will be processed from September
LOCATION: London (Hybrid – 3 days in the office, 2 days remote)
Main Responsibilities:
* Provide services related to payroll, tax, benefits, monthly reporting, and project work
* Manage payroll processes and month-end activities in SAP
* Assist employees with compensation and benefits queries
* Handle monthly contributions to Scottish Widows, issue SAP payments, and coordinate with subsidiaries
* Prepare bonus provisions for the Accounting Department
* Reconcile year-end PAYE and NI for UK payrolls, calculate NIC, and handle P11D submissions and payments to HMRC
* Manage expenses for PSA, taxable relocations, and related calculations/payments to HMRC
* Complete annual compensation and benefit surveys
* Prepare and analyze salary and department budgets, track progress
* Provide monthly headcount reports to the Global Mobility team
* Establish service agreements with subsidiary companies
Ideal Candidate:
* Deep understanding of payroll, tax codes, maternity/paternity pay, and pension schemes
* Knowledge of company budgeting and monitoring budget vs actuals
* Numerate with high attention to detail
* Excellent analytical and communication skills
* Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, including pivot tables
* Experience managing confidential payroll data
* Understanding of UK tax laws and regulations
* Experience with payroll software, preferably Moorepay
* Fluent in English
