Our clients have an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager to join their growing team close to Waterlooville. The Project Manager will be accountable for delivery of assigned projects, working closely with the Project Coordinator, Pre Construction team, and Installation team to deliver projects profitably, on time and with high levels of customer satisfaction. This role is responsible to ensure that the commercials are managed successfully throughout the project lifecycle. The Project Manager will ensure all internal & external stakeholders to the project are coordinated and engaged successfully.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Project Planning – work with the Project Coordinator to take on new orders from sales, oversee handover process, complete project plan & ensure excellent communication with the client.
2. Ensure plan is kept updated & communicated as the project progresses.
3. Design Governance – work with Preconstruction to ensure products signed off for manufacture correctly and on time. This stage can include site surveys usually completed by the IM, as well as design meetings in person or online.
4. Commercial Management – oversee procurement of materials and labour to improve/maintain GP. Oversee project cash flow schedule and invoicing/applications, deal with commercial escalations and ensure extras and variations are charged appropriately.
5. Project Monitoring – Follow process to monitor progress throughout the project and take action to address any issues. Ensure the revenue forecast is up to date, complete regular health checks and review meetings. Ensure continuous improvement through the LFE (learning from experience) feedback loop.
6. Project Delivery – Work with the team to ensure the project delivery stage is completed on programme, to the required quality and with the highest standards of HSQE compliance.
Required Skills & Experience
• Proven experience in project management, within the engineering and construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of project management competencies including Schedule Management, Budgeting and Cost Control, Risk and Issue Management, Resource Management
• Control & Contract Management
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills
• Proficiency in software including planning tools (e.g., MS Project) and Microsoft Office.
Working hours: 7:30am – 4:30pm but some longer hours may be required depending on travel requirements
