An exciting opportunity to join a successful, award-winning market leader with operations across South & West Wales at our quarries, concrete, and asphalt plants.
We are currently seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor for our Civils Department. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for providing commercial support to the project team, maintaining commercial information, and ensuring compliance with contractual requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
* Maintain high standards of best practice and promote safe behaviour in all relevant areas
* Responsible for the financial control of projects
* Manage project costs effectively and carry out cost forecasting
* Update the monthly CVR, cost, and commercial plans, and be accountable along with the project team for commercial performance and strategy
* Ensure adherence to commercial processes across the business
* Communicate directly with clients and their cost managers to maintain contractual obligations
* Procure subcontractors on appropriate terms and conditions and control subcontractor accounts
* Regularly update construction programmes and review on-site progress, including mitigation measures and extension of time claims
* Build client relationships and actively seek new work opportunities
* Oversee procurement of major materials and plant requirements
* Submit and agree on applications for payment
* Track client payment certificates and coordinate invoicing with finance
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
* HND/Degree in Quantity Surveying
* Previous experience in the civil engineering industry
* Experience with JCT & NEC forms of contract
* Excellent communication skills
* Strong interpersonal skills
* Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
