Teaching Personnel are recruiting a caring and enthusiastic Nursery Practitioner / Early Years Teaching Assistant to support children in nursery and Early Years settings across Newport. This role is ideal for someone with a nurturing approach who enjoys supporting young children at the earliest stage of their development.
About the Role
Supporting children in nursery and Early Years settings
Assisting with play-based learning and EYFS activities
Supporting children’s social, emotional and communication development
Working 1:1 and in small groups where required
Supporting daily routines including snack time, toileting and transitions
Creating a safe, engaging and nurturing learning environment
Working closely with nursery staff and Early Years practitioners
The Ideal Candidate
Experience in Early Years, nursery or childcare settings
Understanding of early childhood development and EYFS
Patient, nurturing and engaging approach
Confident supporting children with additional needs when required
Reliable, proactive and able to use initiative
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
