My client has a small team but have managed to deliver massive infrastructure projects to public and private sector clients through their state-of-the-art, tier 3 data centre facilities. We are now looking to expand our team further and add an experienced Azure Platform Engineer to the team on an initial 12 month fixed term contract. Very likely permanent thereafter. Role overview This role focuses on Azure architecture and hybrid connectivity, supporting platforms that integrate on-premise data-centre infrastructure with Microsoft Azure. The engineer will work closely with infrastructure, network and security teams to on-board into service existing Azure services. Key responsibilities Design and operate Microsoft Azure infrastructure and services Support hybrid environments integrating Azure with on-premise platforms Implement and operate Azure ExpressRoute connectivity Support identity, networking and security integration with Azure Provide technical input into platform designs and migrations Troubleshoot Azure platform, networking and connectivity issues Required experience Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure architecture Experience implementing and supporting Azure ExpressRoute Good understanding of Azure networking, identity and core services Background in enterprise infrastructure (Wintel/Linux/VMware) Desirable Experience operating Azure within a managed services or hosting environment Familiarity with data-centre networking and firewalling (Fortinet preferred) Please note that this is a hybrid role requiring a minimum of 3 days per week in the Hamilton office.
