Protocol Education is working with a well-established BS25 Secondary School to support them with reliable, day-to-day classroom cover. We’re currently recruiting an Unqualified English Supply Teacher / Cover Supervisor to step in when teachers are absent and help keep learning running smoothly. Whether you’re looking for 2 days a week or a full-time run, short-term or longer-term, we can shape the role around your availability and preferences. This is a genuine entry route into education. You don’t need QTS or previous teaching experience. An A-Level or degree in English or a related subject would be ideal, but confidence, calmness and strong communication skills matter most. All required training is provided free of charge, with ongoing support once you’re in school. Driving is useful, but not essential. What is the role? As an Unqualified English Supply Teacher / Cover Supervisor, you will: Supervise secondary classes in the absence of the class teacher Guide pupils through pre-set English work and reading tasks Maintain a calm, positive and purposeful learning environment Support pupils to stay focused and on task Follow clear school routines and behaviour expectations You may occasionally be asked to cover other subjects too. You’re not expected to teach new content or be a subject expert. Your role is about confident classroom presence, consistency and keeping learning on track.
