Health and Safety Business Partner
Based in either the Northwest or Scotland, with hybrid working, you’ll have the flexibility of working from home while having a base at one of our national offices e.g. Maryport, Edinburgh or Glasgow
Permanent, Full time (37.5 hpw)
Salarycirca: £50,000 pa dependingon experience, a car allowance will be included too, with some great benefits including a health cash plan and Wagestream!

Critical to making the service we deliver a success are, the strong relationships we’ve developed across the wider business and with our external partners.
We are super passionate about developing andimplementing the Health and Safety strategy, plan, and policies for Home Group so that there is a clear framework that drives compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.
Typical day as a Health and Safety Business Partner
* As Health and Safety Business Partner, you will work with your stakeholders within your Northwest and Scottish region
* Supporting our Operational management teams (for example: developing suitable training programmes)
* Carry out appropriate health and safety checks of colleagues & contractors, high-quality in-house Health and Safety audits/inspections and create accurate monthly management reports from our performance data
* Support, advise, andguide the contractor procurement process as well as build and effectively maintain relationships with the supply chain
* Collaboration and engage with other colleagues within the Health and Safety team.

You have
* NEBOSH Dip or equivalent, Cert IOSH as minimum, actively working towards CMIOSH, maintaining your CPD as per the IOSH Blueprint programme
* Experience in a Maintenance/Construction H&S Management or equivalent role
* Experience in compiling and reviewing detailed risk assessments and method statements (RAMS)
* Experience in supporting/advising with construction related health and safety, included guided training on various risks e.g., working at heights, CDM, asbestos, vibration, and dust etc.,
* Analyse accidents/incidents and investigations completing comprehensive investigation reports
* Experience in writing and reviewing health and safety policies and procedures
* Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
* A full current UK driving licence for business use and commuting.

Job details
* Monday to Friday, working week
* Responsibility for the health and safety across your region. With occasional travel throughout the country
* You will have the flexibility of working either from home or in one of your local offices and we’ll give you the technology and kit to make that easy
* You will have the chance to shape your own diary, however, will likely spend around2-3days or so, perweekon the road, and working from offices and home the rest of the time.
