Key Responsibilities
1. Start your day in store, preparing for deliveries.
2. Check your delivery routes for the day.
3. Load and prepare your van, ensuring all orders are organized for efficient delivery directly to customers.
4. Complete vehicle safety checks, maintaining road compliance, health, and safety standards.
5. Represent the Waitrose brand on the road, prioritizing excellent customer service.
6. Assist customers with their shopping and build rapport based on trust and service.
7. Support the wider shop team with general shopkeeping tasks when required.
Essential Skills and Experience
* Full valid B-Category UK manual driving license with no more than 6 points.
* Excellent customer service skills.
* Good time management skills.
* Ability to handle physical tasks such as lifting crates and moving cages.
* Comfortable working independently, self-motivated, and adaptable.
* IT literacy.
Desirable Skills and Experience
* Previous experience in a driving role.
* Knowledge of chilled vehicles.
As a Customer Delivery Driver, you'll deliver quality Waitrose products with Partner-led service, embodying our ethos: passionate Partners serving food lovers.
When not on the road, you'll support the shop team with tasks like stock replenishment and housekeeping, contributing to the shop's efficient operation in a friendly team environment.
Hours are varied and part-time, including early mornings, late evenings, weekends, between 06:00 and 22:15, across seven days.
