Overview
Part‑time Consultant Psychiatrist at Priory Hospital Solihull, a mental health hospital located in Meriden. The role involves a caseload of approximately 11 R&R patients across three wards: Arley Ward (10 bedded male R&R, level 2), Elkin Ward (10 bedded male R&R, level 2), and Millison Ward (11 bedded male R&R, level 2 – step down). Patients primarily have serious & enduring mental illness with additional complexities.
This vacancy complements our existing medical workforce and offers flexible working hours. Working hours are typically 2.5 days per week on site; the structure can be discussed during the interview.
Responsibilities
* Lead a multidisciplinary team of professionals.
* Participate in governance meetings and R&R Service Line meetings.
* Take an active role in service and quality development activities.
* Participate in the non‑residential medical on‑call rota with other sites.
Qualifications
* Full registration with a licence to practise with the GMC.
* Evidence of higher specialist training leading to CCT or be within 6 months of confirmed entry from date of interview or eligibility for specialist registration (CESR).
* Higher medical qualification (MRCPsych or equivalent).
* Maintained Section 12, Approved Clinician and Responsible Clinician status.
