* A key contact representing the IT Delivery Service within SunLife, including communicating with 3rd party developers to ensure they deliver solutions that align to our CRM and Enterprise Application platforms
* Assisting in the management of our chosen managed service partner and other third-party suppliers to enable an efficient, cost effective and compliant technology operation
* Maintain clear and robust governance and audit trails for all aspects of service, security and budgeting

Here's what you’ll do for us (aka accountabilities)


Responsibilities

1. You'll support the 'IT Relationship and Delivery Manager' in providing the SunLife IT response to IT related incidents, working through to resolution, making post incident changes and recommendations where required to prevent recurrence.
2. You'll manage and oversee SunLife core IT Managed Service Provider(s) to ensure a stable, secure environment for SunLife's end to end Sales & Marketing and Operational users and applications ensuring all contractual service levels and governance obligations are met.
3. You'll manage the SunLife IT CAB process, managing changes (including liaising with PMO) and patching, ensuring they are appropriately scheduled and that impacted parties are well informed and ready for the change.
4. You'll build strong relationships with SunLife Third Parties, internal teams and Group Stakeholders, maintaining clear and open communication to ensure the SunLife business expectations of IT is met.
5. You'll ensure SunLife maintain industry leading security standards and controls, utilising your own, group and third expertise available.
6. You'll produce governance reporting for Group stakeholders, internal governance committees and any external reporting required - ensuring all reporting is complete, accurate, timely and clear, without appropriate detailed evidence to support reporting.
7. You'll participate in regular reviews of issues/trends across entire IT estate, working with the team (and 3rd parties) to ensure the IT service is delivering in line with the approved budget and identifying any areas for improvement/cost efficiencies.


Security

1. You'll support the IT Customer Manager in the management of InfoSec Due Diligence, stepping in to provide additional governance/guidance when necessary

How you'll be successful (aka measures)


Service

1. You will manage multiple suppliers, adhering to defined SunLife Procurement processes to control Service Levels around availability and performance to deliver an available and secure environment for the SunLife business and its Partners.
2. You manage and develop a suite of governance and control processes and will monitor and drive improvements to reduce the % of regular and ad-hoc incidents experienced by SunLife.


Governance

1. You'll have an excellent knowledge of development lifecycles and considerable experience of software development and be able to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
2. You will work with 3rd party suppliers and be the primary lead for all communication and management of all IT Managed Service and Security incidents, ensuring stakeholder communications are timely, clear, incidents fully documented and all governance processes, reporting and actions completed within agreed timescales
3. You'll be able to translate business requirements into a technical solution that will seamlessly integrate into our existing SunLife environment.
4. You'll perform regular trend analysis to fully investigate and assess root causes of incidents and recommend changes required and where approved, implemented within agreed timescales.
5. You'll use both your existing experience and willingness to learn new technologies in order to deliver cost efficient solutions to technical problems.


Security

1. You will be able to use your technical knowledge to assist in the Due Diligence process to help ensure the SunLife Security posture is maintained and vulnerabilities identified.

* You'll be able to translate business requirements into a technical solution that will seamlessly integrate into our existing SunLife environment.
* You'll be the recognised face of delivery, being able to evaluate work estimates that will consistently deliver to the required business schedule.
* You'll use both your existing experience and willingness to learn new technologies in order to deliver solutions to technical problems.
* You'll keep track and have an awareness of the new developments within the IT Delivery sector that may prove beneficial to SunLife.
* You'll consolidate your technical and management skills to 'lead from the front'.
* You'll be looking to develop and grow both yourself and the team into a 'best in class' delivery function, ultimately being able to adapt and have the flexibility to deliver the right solutions at the right time for SunLife.
