Production Shift Manager : Food Production

Hours: Monday to Friday rotating shifts: 5am : 2pm / 1:30pm : 10:30pm
Salary A GBP 35,000
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Shift Manager to join a fast:paced food production and packaging facility in Ledbury. This is a key leadership role, responsible for ensuring smooth, efficient and compliant operations across a busy production shift.
Key responsibilities:
* Oversee daily production activities to ensure output targets are consistently met
* Monitor operations and quickly resolve any issues to minimize downtime
* Lead, support and motivate a team of operatives and supervisors across your shift
* Deliver clear pre:shift briefings, setting expectations and priorities
* Provide ongoing coaching, feedback and performance management
* Ensure full compliance with food safety, hygiene and health and safety regulations
* Carry out regular checks to maintain operational and quality standards
* Identify opportunities for efficiency improvements and waste reduction
* Support continuous improvement initiatives across production processes
About you:
* Experience in a supervisory or management role within food manufacturing or a similar production environment
* Strong understanding of UK food safety and health and safety standards
* Confident leader with ability to motivate and manage teams effectively
* Comfortable using production systems and reporting tools
* Food safety or management qualifications are an advantage
