We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced General Practice Nurse to join our friendly and supportive primary care team. The successful candidate will work alongside our GPs, Advanced Nurse Practitioners, Nursing Associate and Healthcare Assistant to deliver high-quality, evidence-based care to our patient population. You will be responsible for a diverse and autonomous clinical caseload, with a focus on patient-centred care and health promotion. This is an opportunity to build lasting relationships with patients in a community setting while having a significant impact on their long-term health.
Responsibilities
 * Conducting chronic disease management clinics (e.g. asthma, COPD, Diabetes)
 * Carrying out immunisation programmes for both children and adults (including travel health)
 * Performing cervical cytology (smear tests) and providing women's health advice
 * Managing minor and complex wounds, including leg ulcer care
 * Conducting health screening and providing health promotion and lifestyle advice
 * Assessing and treating minor illnesses
 * Maintaining accurate patient records and contributing to clinical governance and quality improvement
Qualifications
We are looking for a Registered General Nurse (RGN) with experience in a primary care or GP practice setting is preferable. You will need to be:
 * Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC)
 * Highly organiser and flexible, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
 * Empathetic and compassionate, with a non-judgemental approach to patient care
 * Confident in working autonomously while also contributing as a collaborative team member
 * Competent in using clinical IT systems; SystmOne is desirable
