Overview
Highland Health and Social Care Services help people from all walks of life, as well as their families or carers. Health and Social Care in Highland provides help and assistance in many situations arising due to illness, disability, old age or poverty. This post is part of the Sutherland Health and Social Care Integrated Team based at Bettyhill, North Sutherland.
Position
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual who will be part of a multidisciplinary team working with patients in their own homes to provide holistic care. Your primary responsibility will be to assist with enabling people to maintain their independence at home and supporting people after they have left hospital. The post holder needs to be flexible and able to use their own initiative as well as provide high standards of patient care in support of the team to ensure delivery of a high quality service to the local community.
Responsibilities

* Provide holistic care and high-quality service delivery to the local community.
Qualifications and requirements
* Experience not required, although beneficial. Full training will be provided, and the applicant will have the opportunity to complete an SVQ in Health & Social Care.
* A driving licence is essential for this post and applicants should have access to their own vehicle for work purposes.
* This is a Fixed Term part-time post to October 2026 of 17.27 hours working 5.00pm to 10.00pm, 4 days on, 4 days off or in line with service requirements.
* This role does not meet the eligibility criteria for a Skilled Worker visa or a Health and Care Worker visa. NHS Highland is unable to provide candidates with a Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS).

* Additional Information For Candidates
* Effective from 1st April 2026, the Agenda for Change full-time working week will be reduced from 37 to 36 hours. Part-time hours will be adjusted on a pro-rata basis. There will be an increase in the hourly rate to ensure that pay remains unaffected.
