Design Manager – Super Prime Residential
An exceptional opportunity has arisen for an experienced Design Manager to join a £100m+ turnover main contractor, specialising in delivering super prime residential projects.
This role is based on a prestigious £20m new-build property located in the exclusive Wentworth Estate, Virginia Water. The project is currently at its early stages, with the site cleared and ready for construction. This is a unique chance to lead the design process on a landmark development, working on a completely bespoke, high-value property.
Responsibilities
As the lead Design Manager on this project, you will take full ownership of the design process, ensuring the seamless integration of architectural, structural, and MEP elements.
Your key responsibilities will include:
* Leading and managing the design process from inception to completion, ensuring all design deliverables meet the highest standards of quality and compliance.
* Coordinating with architects, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure design intent is maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
* Managing design changes and ensuring timely resolution of design-related issues.
* Reviewing and approving drawings, specifications, and technical submissions.
* Ensuring compliance with building regulations, planning permissions, and client requirements.
* Collaborating closely with the project team to ensure the design aligns with the construction programme and budget.
* Providing technical guidance and leadership to the project team.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Proven experience as a Design Manager, ideally within the super prime residential or high-end residential sector.
* A strong understanding of construction processes, design coordination, and technical detailing.
* Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders effectively.
* A proactive and solutions-focused approach to problem-solving.
* A degree or equivalent qualification in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field.
* A thorough understanding of UK building regulations and planning processes.
This role offers a competitive salary of £70,000 - £90,000, depending on experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package.
