With our client's ongoing commitment to excellence, they are seeking a talented Surveying Technician to develop and enhance their delivery and operations. Join their leading engineering and nuclear firm on a contract basis, working on-site from their Suffolk and London sites. You will be playing a crucial role within project development, maintaining accountability of site work surveyance and data collection.
-Competitive hourly rate of £25-£30 (depending on experience).
-On-site working arrangements.
Responsibilities:
-Retrieve and process project survey data with the use of relevant industry tools and procedures.
-Manage the planning and implementation of survey projects from the first initial concept stages through to final handover.
-Support and manage ongoing site work with the use of GNSS receivers, Trimble/Leica total stations, laser scanners, digital levels, and rail survey equipment.
-Analyse survey data by using relevant software tools, such as SCC, TopoDOT, Starnet, Cyclone, and Infinity.
-Conduct quality assurance checks on other professionals works, as well as your own, through reviewing and analysing practices.
-Put together concise reports that comply with client requirements and health and safety principles.
Requirements:
-3+ years of experience as a Surveying Technician, Assistant Surveyor, or a similar position, within a Geometrics environment.
-Proficient in the use of surveying materials, such as Robotic Total Stations, GNSS receivers, Digital levels, and Laser scanners.
-Strong understanding of how to process survey data, with the use of relevant software packages, whilst also having a proficiency with Bentley MicroStation and AutoCAD.
-A flexible mindset with site work, with a willingness to produce surveys outside of working times to fit around asset availability, and a full UK driving license.
-Previous experience with managing survey teams completing field work, producing highway and railway surveys, as well as Utility surveys with the use of GPR materials.
