Overview
Nights Residential Child Care Worker – Children’s Residential Service, Central Lancashire. Location covers homes based in Preston, Chorley, Bamber Bridge & Skelmersdale. Salary £28,142 - £32,061 per annum. Full time (37 hours per week) and part time positions available.

Responsibilities
* Work night shifts in children’s homes, ensuring the safety and security of the home overnight and supporting children if they wake.
* Engage with children in 1:1 discussions around feelings, emotions, and behaviours; link with professionals (social workers, schools, police, health workers) to meet children’s needs.
* Support the development of positive, meaningful, and lifelong relationships with children, promoting creative activities inside and outside the homes.
* Provide a friendly, supportive presence for children during night hours and respond to any issues that arise.
* Be prepared to work at different homes across the Central Lancashire cluster; access to your own vehicle is essential.

* Ability to work across multiple homes; current driving status may be essential depending on assignment.
