Finance & Payroll Officer in Education
Location at Kingston upon Thames– free parking available, 5 minutes from the school.
Salary:£31,000 to £34,000 per annum plus a comprehensive benefits package including generous pay scales, pension contribution, a 2‑week October half‑term break, cycle-to-work scheme, study support and EAP.
Working hours: 8 am to 5 pm, Monday to Friday. Permanent role, worked all year round. Hybrid option: one day working from home after probation. Expected start date: ASAP (will consider a 4‑week notice period).
DBS: Enhanced Child DBS is ideally required. You do not need to have education sector experience; an enhanced DBS can be provided.

Key Responsibilities

* Maintain financial records and prepare monthly and annual reports.
* Assist in budget preparation and financial forecasting.
* Handle accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
* Collaborate with other departments to streamline financial processes.
* Stay up-to‑date with financial regulations and compliance requirements.
What We’re Looking For
* Previous experience in finance and payroll; experience in the education sector is preferred but not essential.
* Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
* Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
