Responsibilities as a SEND Teacher: Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to pupils with SEND, in line with the national curriculum and their individual EHCPs. Monitor and assess pupil progress, adapting teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs. Work collaboratively with SENCOs, teaching assistants, parents, and external agencies to ensure holistic support. Implement positive behaviour management strategies to maintain an inclusive and supportive classroom environment. Contribute to the development and review of individual learning plans and interventions. Participate fully in school life, including staff meetings, professional development, and extracurricular activities. Requirements for SEND Teacher: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK is essential. Proven experience teaching pupils with SEND, preferably within primary or secondary settings. Strong knowledge of SEND legislation and best teaching practices. Excellent communication, organisation, and interpersonal skills.
