Job Summary
The post is to provide specialist occupational therapy assessment and treatment to patients on the acute medical & surgical inpatient wards. The case load is across the acute medical, surgical, respiratory & cardiac wards including the Intensive Care Unit. The post holder is responsible for allocating work to and supervising the work of others.
Main Duties
* Providing specialised assessment and treatment of acute medical conditions including patients with COPD, neurological disorders, cardiology‑related conditions, Parkinson's Disease, age‑related conditions, falls, End of Life, complex social circumstances and surgical patients such as post‑abdominal surgeries.
* Evaluating treatment and quality of care for patients in your own case load and those you have delegated to others (e.g., junior staff, students).
Qualifications
* HCPC registration
* Degree or diploma in Occupational Therapy
Essential Knowledge
Experience providing Occupational Therapy in the acute inpatient setting.
Essential Experience
* Evidence of supervision and delegation
* Evidence of service development
* Evidence of problem solving and decision making

Salary, Band & Contract
Band 6 – Salary £38,682 to £46,580 a year per annum pro rata for part time. Contract: Permanent. Working pattern: Full‑time.
