Youth Worker - Hub (Welshpool Youth Club)
Job description
About the role:
To develop and deliver effective youth work in the area including; youth clubs, one to one support, outreach work, school based projects/support, holiday schemes and accredited programmes (DofE, ACU, Adventure Service Challenge and Youth Achievement awards) in order to ensure an extensive range of appropriate services are available for young people. To assist with the management and operation of youth clubs/projects in the area to enable effective provision, ensure quality of performance
and support the young people who attend.

• Enthusiasm and commitment to improving the lives of young people and their families
• Ability to form positive relationships and to act as a role model with children at risk of offending and committing anti-social behaviour
• Ability to work both as part of a team and independently
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• The ability to use tact and diplomacy when required
What you will do:
Delivery of open access youth work in your area to ensure young people have access to a range of youth work opportunities in their locality.
Develop and sustain positive working relationships with delivery and strategic partners including the statutory and voluntary sector to enable range of youth work that meets needs of the young people.
Establish good working relationships with young people thus enabling effective pastoral care and the opportunity to provide information and appropriate advice and guidance.
