Job Description
Position: Director, Subscription Finance
Location: London
The Bank seeks a Director to join its Subscription Finance team. Responsibilities include origination, structuring, negotiation, execution, and ongoing management of EMEA subscription finance transactions, including related fund-level products such as hybrid fund financing, foreign exchange, and derivatives.
Key competencies include:
* Communication: Strong communication and relationship-building skills, proactive and collaborative work style.
* Execution: Deep technical knowledge in fund finance, managing closing processes, coordinating with stakeholders, resolving complex issues.
* Credit: Strong credit risk and quantitative skills, experience with legal documentation, ability to present credit and commercial rationale to senior stakeholders.
Business Area
This position is part of the EMEA Subscription Finance Team within the Specialised Products Department, which includes Leverage Finance, Structured Real Estate Finance, and NAV Finance teams. The team operates within a Global Fund Finance Solutions platform, collaborating with teams in New York, US, and APAC.
Position Responsibilities
* Report to the Managing Director, Subscription Finance EMEA
* Lead origination, structuring, negotiation, execution, and management of subscription finance transactions across EMEA
* Identify and develop new business opportunities, drive growth, and strengthen sponsor client relationships
* Develop fund-level activities and oversee strategic initiatives
* Supervise junior team members and ensure high-quality execution
* Maintain strong client and internal relationships to support business development
* Identify and mitigate risks, providing updates on key developments
The Successful Candidate
An exciting opportunity for a Director in Subscription Finance with a leading Corporate & Investment Bank in London.
Experience & Expertise:
* Extensive experience in subscription finance and fund finance
* Proven record in origination, structuring, negotiation, and execution
* Knowledge of hybrid fund financing, FX, and derivatives
* Experience in a global banking environment, ideally across EMEA, US, and APAC
Technical & Analytical Skills:
* Deep understanding of credit risk assessment, financial modeling, and transaction structuring
* Familiarity with legal documentation and fund finance agreements
* Numerate and analytical with the ability to present credit and commercial rationale
Leadership & Collaboration:
* Ability to lead deal teams and mentor junior staff
* Collaborative, cross-functional working style
* Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment
Communication & Relationship Management:
* Excellent interpersonal skills
* Building and maintaining relationships with sponsor clients and stakeholders
