The role
1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant – Wythenshawe (M22) We are currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Wythenshawe . This rewarding role involves providing tailored support to a pupil with Special Educational Needs, helping them access learning and thrive both academically and emotionally. Key Responsibilities: Provide 1:1 support to a pupil with SEN, adapting learning activities to meet individual needs Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons Implement behaviour management strategies and promote a positive learning environment Encourage pupil independence, confidence, and social development Work closely with the SENCo and wider school team to track progress and support development Assist with personal care if required (depending on the pupil’s needs) Requirements: Previous experience supporting children with SEN (e.g. ASD, ADHD, SEMH) Strong behaviour management skills and a calm, patient approach Good communication and teamwork skills A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs Relevant qualifications (e.g. TA, CACHE) are desirable but not essential What we offer: Supportive and friendly school environment Opportunity to make a real difference in a child’s education Ongoing training and development opportunities Competitive daily rate If you are an enthusiastic and caring individual looking to make a positive impact, we would love to hear from you.
