Senior Commercial Specialist Bedlington, Northumberland Salary Dependent on Experience We at JKR are recruiting a brand-new, exciting position for a global manufacturing company! Role Introduction: As part of our Global Sales Organisation, the Sr. Commercial Specialist / Commercial Team plays a key role in the company pricing strategy for the Components Division. This is a Global role that interacts regularly with Sales, Factory, Engineering, and Product teams in Europe, Asia and North America to establish pricing strategies, and formulate responses to Requests for Quotation. Roles and Responsibilities: * Respond to Daily RFQ's for Optoelectronics, Resistors, and Variable Resistor product lines * Make pricing decisions based on established guidelines * Research and Analyse Major Bid Packages and Volume Price Agreements * Review / Capture competitive information * Compare and analyse previous bids to determine best pricing strategy to win * Solicit from, and provide inputs to, the Product line Directors in a team effort to achieve the most competitive proposal response * Actively participate in the negotiation process * Analyse profit margins * Analyse and report final award results * Develop a basic knowledge for all products including Strengths and weaknesses verses our competition through extensive product training * Gain the ability to cross reference our products to our competitors or gain that information from our engineering team * Assist with Development and production of Standard price lists and Maintaining Pricing Portal as needed * Work with Commercial Executive to complete this action in a timely manner, including periodic updates & revisions Ideal Candidate: * 2-3 years of experience in Inside sales, Product Management, or other Pricing role in the Electronics Components Industry * Basic Knowledge of Electronic Components industry especially Resistors, and /or Optoelectronics Preferred * Strong Negotiation Skills * Proficiency in MS Word, Windows, Outlook, Power Point and MS Excel required, Expert Level Preferred * Exceptional Organisational Skills * Excellent Written & Verbal Communication Skills * Ability to Work with Minimal Supervision as part of a team * Excellent English Language Skills Required * Ability to travel domestically and /or internationally as needed up to 25% of the time * Fluency in German, Spanish, French, or Mandarin (Chinese) is desirable * Knowledge of SAP & Sales Force (CRM) and Data Base Skills are desirable * Experience Managing Projects and / or People is also desirable Benefits: * Competitive Salary, Enhanced pension contributions, Healthcare cashback plan * Employee assistance programme, Site incentive plan, Financial wellbeing benefit * Discounted online and high street shopping and lifestyle vouchers, Cycle to Work Scheme, Discounted RAC membership * Discounted Gym membership, 5 weeks (in hours) annual leave plus bank holidays Jackie Kerr Recruitment is an independent agency that has been established for 28 years.
