Regional Head Chef
Location: Across Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire, Essex and London
Salary: £19.50 per hour, plus travel expenses
Hours / Shifts: Minimum 3 days (24 hours) per week – maximum 4 days (32 hours) per week. Flexibility to work occasional weekends required.

About the role:
1. Independently prepare hot and cold meals for residents according to their needs and preferences
2. Assist in planning seasonal menus
3. Assist with event planning and execution
4. Carry out any reasonable request or instruction from the Catering and Hospitality Manager
5. Understanding and experience working with the IDDSI framework
6. Assist with training and development of staff
7. Ensure compliance with the Health and Safety Policy and regulations
8. Maintain a clean and hygienic environment to EHO standards
9. Carry out checks in the kitchen as required to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, for example recording fridge temperatures
10. Have full knowledge of and take responsibility to ensure adherence to infection control policies and procedures of the Department of Health and the company at all times
11. Report all accidents and incidents to the Person-in-Charge of the Home
12. Have full knowledge of the fire procedures, fire escapes and a working knowledge of the fire-fighting equipment
About you:
1. The right to live and work in the UK
2. Proven Chef experience in similar role and setting (i.e. a care home or school)
3. IDDSI experience is essential – familiarity with preparing and serving dysphagia-friendly meals
4. Certificate Level II in Food Safety and Hygiene
5. Knowledge of nutritional needs of older people
6. Health and Safety and regulatory requirements
7. A positive and flexible attitude towards work and the ability to work well in a team
