We are seeking enthusiastic speech and language therapists to join our friendly and supportive team, where collaborative working in an important part of the role.
We have vacancies in our local specialist and base provisions, in addition to our mainstream settings.
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic team providing innovative therapy interventions following evidence-based practise and an embedded model of therapy in order to best support the pupils needs.
We can offer an all-year full time contract or a term time plus 2-4 weeks pro rata contract.

Cognus Therapies provides a robust supervision framework with all posts receiving Managerial and Clinical Supervision. Regular time is allocated for Professional Development.

Main duties of the job

PRINCIPALACCOUNTABILITIES:
To personally undertake a caseload toinclude:
Visitingchildren and young people at their educational setting
Completingassessments with children and young people
Deliveringtherapy programmes to individuals or small groups
Offeringadvice and support to parents / carers and teaching staff
Maintainingall records to a high standard

Usescreening and assessment tools (formal and informal assessments)
Prioritisenew referrals, with support
Completecase histories to gather relevant information
Writereports based on assessment information
Makeonward referrals, with support
Liaisewith all professionals involved
Liaisewith parents / carers and school staff to work collaboratively
Contributeto professional advice regarding statutory assessments (Education, Health andCare Needs Assessments)
Contributeto professional advice for Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) annualreviews
Completeduties for both London Borough of Sutton and out of borough (when requested)
Monitorand record the child or young persons progress towards their outcomes andtargets

Qualifications
Essential
17. Educated to degree level or equivalent in Speech and Language Therapy
18. Relevant qualifications including registration with HCPC and RCSLT
